Andalusia Day

We’ve celebrated our Andalusian Day, February 28. As previous years, our school has organised   different activities like an Andalusian Breakfast, “Quillo, arte andalú” cultural festival with music, dancing, art,design...

  Our ESO students have done some research in english on famous and influential andalusians such as writers,     singers, dancers…and they’ve also found out about the most important monuments and landmarks in     Andalusia.

   

Valentine's Day

February 14th

Our ESO students have celebrated Valentine’s Day doing the Project “Be my Valentine”.

They have worked in groups to create a poem, each writing alternate sentences. They’ve also been encouraged to decorate their Valentines’s cards.

 

                         

"Mary Poppings returns"

On Wednesday 6th February, our students of 1º and 2º ESO  went to the cinema and enjoyed the film "Mary Poppings returns" in original version. Watching movies is a great way for learners to improve their English, especially their listening and speaking skills. Films are not usually created for English language learners – they are made for native English speakers. Therefore, the language is exactly how you hear it in real life – it is spoken quickly, with native accents and pronunciation and using many idioms and colloquial expressions.

UK Culture Class

 12th February

UK Culture Class: we discovered how much our students really knew about Britain! 

Our 1º Bachillerato students enjoyed a fun and interactive way to learn about various aspects of British culture, such as Food and Drink, The Royal Family, Sport, Music and Famous People. Everyone in the class had a chance to participate and in the end, there was a quiz in the style of the TV game show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” where one lucky winner would take away a very nice prize. The Culture Class was given by a native English-speaking trainer.

Peace Day

Peace Day

On Wednesday 30th January we celebrated Peace day, a special day with a theme very similar to our school values of mutual respect, thoughtfulness and consideration towards others.
It was a special morning. As students and teachers entered the school hallthey could hear a band of students playing beautiful songs relative to the occasion. We also did  activities which showed different ways in which we can be kind and help other people in order to make our school, community and the world a better place. 

 

            

New Year's Resolutions.

New Year's Resolutions. 2º-3º ESO

Our students made a flipbook where they wrote their New Year's Resolutions. They practised the future tenses and vocabulary related to activities, hobbies.. 

 

Awards Ceremony. End of First Term

Our language assiastant, Ligia Centeno, gave awards to our ESO students to recognize hard work  and progress. it's an activity to encourage them to improve their skills in English and work harder next term.
